Privacy Notice

Last updated October 8, 2026

This notice explains how KLMAH Law Office collects, uses, stores, and protects the personal data you give us on learn.AttyHugo.com, in line with Republic Act No. 10173, the Data Privacy Act of 2012, and its implementing rules.

Who is responsible for your data

KLMAH Law Office is the personal information controller for this website. For any privacy question or request, contact our Data Protection Officer at hi@attyhugo.com.

What we collect

When you sign up for updates and the free planner, we collect:

  • your name, if you give it;
  • your email address;
  • where you are in your studies (law student, reviewing for the bar, or other);
  • a record that you agreed to this notice, and the date and time you signed up.

When you fill out the bar mentoring intake form, we collect:

  • your name and email address, and, if you give them, your mobile number and city or province;
  • your law school and graduation year, if you give them;
  • the bar exam you are preparing for, and whether it is your first time taking it;
  • how you are reviewing the bar subjects and whether you work while reviewing;
  • how you currently practice answering bar questions, whether anyone has checked your answers, what you find hardest about answering, and the subjects you want to practice;
  • how you would like to get feedback, when you are free for calls, how much time you can give to answering practice, whether you are willing to submit a sample answer, and your answers about your challenges and goals;
  • whether you are open to a program fee, and the fee range you find reasonable;
  • how you heard about us;
  • a record of your consent, and the date and time you submitted the form.

Information about your education and bar exam history is sensitive personal information under the Data Privacy Act. We collect it only with your specific consent and only for the purposes below. Please do not include health information or details about other people in your answers.

We do not use tracking cookies or analytics on this website. The Spot the Issue quiz runs entirely in your browser: we do not collect your answers or scores, and your best score is saved only on your own device.

Why we collect it

  • to give you the free Law Student Planner;
  • to send you updates about the mentorship program, including when it opens;
  • to review your intake form, understand how you answer bar questions and where you need help, and contact you about joining the bar mentoring program;
  • to send you a sample question for assessment, if you agree to it;
  • to plan a fair fee for the mentoring program;
  • to schedule mentoring calls, if you join;
  • to understand who the program serves, so we can plan lessons for law students and bar reviewees.

We will not use your data for any other purpose without asking you first. If you fill out the intake form, we send you general updates and free resources only if you tick the optional updates box.

Our basis for processing

We process your data based on your consent, which you give by ticking the consent box on each form. For the intake form, this includes your specific consent to the processing of your education and bar exam information. You can withdraw your consent at any time (see below). Withdrawing does not affect processing we did before you withdrew.

Who else handles your data

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data. We share it only with service providers that help us run this website, and only for the purposes above:

  • Netlify, Inc. hosts this website and stores sign-up and intake form submissions. Its servers may be located outside the Philippines, including in the United States.
  • Google Fonts provides the fonts on this page. Your browser’s IP address is sent to Google when it loads them.
  • If we later use an email service to send updates, we will share only your name and email address with that provider, for sending those updates.

We may also disclose personal data when the law requires it.

How we protect it

Your data is sent over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection and stored in a password-protected account that only we can access. We apply reasonable organizational, physical, and technical measures to protect it from loss, misuse, and unauthorized access.

How long we keep it

We keep your sign-up data while you remain subscribed to updates. When you unsubscribe or withdraw your consent, we delete your data within 30 days, unless the law requires us to keep it longer.

We keep intake form answers while we review your application and, if you join, for as long as you are in the mentoring program. If you do not join, we delete your intake form answers within six months of submission. If you join, we delete them within six months after the program ends.

Your rights

Under the Data Privacy Act, you have the right to:

  • be informed about how your data is processed;
  • access the personal data we hold about you;
  • object to processing, and withdraw your consent;
  • have inaccurate data corrected;
  • have your data deleted or blocked;
  • receive a copy of your data in a commonly used electronic format (data portability);
  • be compensated for damages caused by unlawful processing;
  • file a complaint with the National Privacy Commission (privacy.gov.ph).

How to unsubscribe or make a request

Email hi@attyhugo.com from the address you signed up with. Say what you’d like us to do, for example “Unsubscribe and delete my data” or “Send me a copy of my data.” We will reply as soon as we can, and act on your request in line with the Data Privacy Act.

Changes to this notice

If we change this notice, we will post the new version on this page and update the date at the top. If a change affects how we use the data you already gave us, we will ask for your consent again.
